Absolutely. If you have a heart for teaching and the necessary musical skills, there may be opportunities to serve through ROL's School of Music by helping children develop their musical abilities while encouraging their personal and spiritual growth.
Raising children with Christian values begins at home and is strengthened through a Christ-centred church community. At ROLCC, we partner with parents by teaching God's Word, encouraging prayer, building godly friendships, and helping children develop a faith that shapes their everyday lives.
Relocating for work can be exciting, but it can also leave you feeling isolated.
At ROLCC, you'll find more than a Sunday service—you'll find opportunities to connect through Cell Fellowships, church activities, and ministry teams where people encourage, pray for, and journey together through life's different seasons.
Start by serving in one simple place and staying connected to people who can walk with you. Purpose in church isn’t about a “position”—it’s about following Jesus, growing, and using what God has given you to bless others. A practical next step is to join a Cell Fellowship, speak with a pastor or leader, and try one ministry area for a few weeks (welcoming, River Kids, worship, media, outreach, etc.). Over time, your gifts become clearer as you show up, learn, and love people.

Sometimes, yes—but we try to keep the focus on worship and growth, not spotlight. As children learn and mature, there may be opportunities to participate in church moments (especially through River Kids & Family, worship events, or special programmes), based on what’s appropriate and helpful. If you’re asking about your child specifically, the best step is to speak with our River Kids leaders or share your interest via the Welcome Form so they can guide you. Our goal is confidence with character: serving God joyfully, not performing for applause.
Confidence grows when a child feels loved, capable, and guided—then gets chances to try again without shame. Start by affirming effort (not just results), giving small responsibilities at home, and helping them practise one skill consistently (sports, music, reading, speaking). Spiritually, children gain confidence when they know God loves them and they belong. At ROLCC, River Kids helps children learn Scripture and worship in a safe, encouraging environment, and parents are supported too. If anxiety or fear feels intense, don’t hesitate to seek wise counsel early—support is strength.
Prayer doesn't remove every difficulty, but it helps us bring our worries to God and find His peace in the midst of them. At ROLCC, we believe prayer, God's Word, wise support, and Christian community all play an important role as we trust God through anxious seasons.
Start small and serve where you can be consistent. At ROLCC, you can simply attend, then share your interest with our church team after a service—or submit it through the Welcome Form. From there, the right department leader will reach out and guide you through the next steps. If you’re not sure where you fit, try one area for a few weeks and see what gives you joy and helps others (Welcoming/Ushering, River Kids, Media/Production, Prayer Ministry, Outreach, Worship, etc.). Serving is one of the best ways to build friendships and grow.
Yes. Being shy doesn’t disqualify you from serving—many meaningful roles don’t require being “on stage.” At ROLCC, you can attend first, then tell our team you’d like to volunteer (or share it through the Welcome Form). A department leader will connect with you and help you find a role that matches your comfort level and gifts. Some quieter starting points can be Media/Production, River Kids support roles, or helping with set-up and behind-the-scenes tasks. You can also begin by joining a Cell Fellowship to build relationships at your pace.
No—you won’t be chased. If you share your details through the Welcome Form, someone from our team or a department leader may reach out once to welcome you and offer help, but we don’t believe in repeatedly calling or pressuring people. You’re always in control of how much you want to connect. If you’d rather stay anonymous, you can simply attend without filling anything. And if you do want to take a next step later—prayer, counselling, serving, or a Cell Fellowship—you can reach out when you’re ready.
Yes—tech skills are extremely helpful, and many roles are behind-the-scenes. At ROLCC, you could potentially serve in Media & Production (sound, slides, livestream, visuals), systems support, or other technology-related needs as we grow. The easiest next step is to share your interest and skill set through the Welcome Form or speak with our team after service, so a department leader can connect with you and guide the process. You don’t need to be perfect—just dependable, teachable, and willing to serve with humility.
Absolutely. Many couples find that serving together strengthens both their faith and their relationship. At ROLCC, there are opportunities to serve side by side in various ministries while growing together in Christ.

Joining the worship ministry begins with a heart to worship God and serve His people. As you become part of the ROLCC family, grow in your faith, and develop your musical gifts, our worship leaders will guide you through the next steps, including mentoring, training, and the ministry's onboarding process.

At ROLCC, we're committed to helping you discern and develop God's calling through mentoring, ministry training, and practical opportunities to serve.
Absolutely. Many people faithfully serve God while working full-time. At ROLCC, we encourage believers to honour God through their profession, remain active in church life, and use their gifts to serve both in their workplace and through the ministries of the church.
