Finding the right church is about more than choosing a place to attend on Sundays—it's about finding a community that helps you grow in your relationship with Jesus.
Look for a church where Christ is at the centre, the Bible is taught faithfully, people genuinely care for one another, and you have opportunities to grow and serve. Visit a few times, ask questions, and prayerfully decide before making it your church home.
At ROLCC, we encourage people to take their time and make an informed decision.

A good children's ministry should provide a safe, caring environment where children can learn God's Word, build friendships, and enjoy coming to church.
At ROLCC, our River Kids Ministry helps children grow through Bible lessons, worship, memory verses, games, creative activities, and age-appropriate teaching, while partnering with parents in their spiritual journey.
Because loneliness isn’t only about being around people—it’s about feeling known, safe, and connected. You can be surrounded by noise and still feel unseen. A helpful step is to name what you’re missing: deep friendship, family, purpose, rest, or someone who truly understands you. Then take one relational step—join a small group, ask for prayer, talk to someone you trust, or reach out for counselling if it feels heavy. At ROLCC, Cell Fellowships and our Counselling Ministry can help you move from “surrounded” to “supported.”
Building community begins with showing up consistently, getting to know people, and taking part in church life beyond Sunday services.
As you become more familiar with the church, consider joining a Cell Fellowship, serving in a ministry, or participating in church activities. These are often the best places to build meaningful relationships and grow in your faith.
At ROLCC, we believe church is more than attending a service—it's about growing together as a community.
Friendships grow naturally as you spend time with people.
At ROLCC, many lasting friendships begin through our weekday Cell Fellowships (online and in person), ministry teams, and church activities. These smaller gatherings create opportunities to know people personally, grow in faith together, and support one another beyond Sunday services.
Children learn compassion by seeing it lived out every day. As you model kindness, generosity, forgiveness, and care for others, they begin to reflect those same values. At ROLCC, we encourage families to grow together through God's Word, prayer, serving others, and opportunities to care for those in need.
Start with one safe connection point and take one step at a time. If you’re new and don’t know anyone, begin by attending a Sunday service regularly, then use the Welcome Form so someone can help you get connected. A Cell Fellowship is often the best next step because it’s smaller, relational, and easier to talk. If you’re open to it, serving in a team (Welcoming, Media/Production, Outreach, etc.) also helps you meet people naturally. You don’t have to do it all at once—just start somewhere.

Absolutely. You're welcome to attend ROLCC without becoming a member. We encourage you to take time to get to know the church, build relationships, ask questions, and prayerfully decide if ROLCC is where God is leading you to grow and serve.
Build meaningful friendships by showing up consistently where real conversations can happen. Sundays can be a start, but deeper friendships usually grow in smaller circles. At ROLCC, a practical next step is to join a Cell Fellowship (Midweek Fellowship meets Wednesdays at 8:00 PM), where people pray, share life, and support each other beyond a quick hello. Serving is another pathway—when you join a team like Ushers & Welcome, Media & Production, River Kids, or Outreach, friendships form naturally over time. Start with one step and stay with it for a few weeks.
Meaningful friendships grow through shared life, not just shared interests. At ROLCC, you'll find opportunities to build genuine relationships through Cell Fellowships, serving together, prayer, and church activities throughout the week. As you grow in your faith alongside others, friendships often grow naturally too.
Yes. Burnout affects more than your energy—it can impact your emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. At ROLCC, we're here to walk alongside you through prayer, biblical encouragement, pastoral care, and a supportive church community as you seek God's strength and restoration.
Working for a church is more than a job—it's an opportunity to use your skills to serve God's Kingdom. At ROLCC, we occasionally have opportunities in areas such as administration, media, finance, teaching, operations, and ministry. If you're interested in joining our team, we'd be glad to help you explore current opportunities and where your gifts and experience may best fit.
